Chickenpox is a viral disease in children, which is caused by the varicella zoster virus. It is identified by the itchy red rashes on the entire body. The chickenpox is a contagious disease and is spread by sneezing, coughing and contact with the infected persons like using their clothing, bed and other articles. Its symptoms occur from 7-21 days after exposure. People who have been once affected by the chicken pox, will never get it again in the entire lifetime. The chickenpox in children is common and result in mild effects, whereas in adults, it gives risk of serious complications like bacterial pneumonia.
