Chicken is the most common type of poultry in the world. It means you can have it in comparatively reasonable price anywhere in the world. Chicken has various health benefits too. It is a good source of protein. It helps to build muscle. Apart from protein chicken is rich in several minerals like phosphorous and calcium that keep your bone healthy. Chicken has two nutrients – tryptophan and vitamin B5 which helps to reduce stress. It serves to boost immunity and because of its zinc content it also helps to boost testosterone levels. Moreover, it is very tasty substance and you can make various snacks items with this chicken. This article will give you three easy chicken pakora recipes.
Chicken Green Pakora:
boneless chicken – 250grams, onion-1large or 2small, 2cloves of garlic, fresh coriander leaves, fresh mint, lemon, green chili, corn flour, salt, and vegetable oil.
In a grinder add chicken, salt to taste and green chili. Grind them to paste and remove them on a bowl. Grind cilantro and mint separately and remove them on a separate container. Squeeze one lemon and keep the juice in a container. Now add 1 tablespoon mint paste, 1 tablespoon cilantro paste in the chicken. Grind onion and garlic to paste and add this to chicken. Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 2 tablespoons corn flour in the chicken paste. Now mix everything.
Heat ample quantity oil in a container. Make balls of chicken and fry them in oil till golden brown. Remove them from oil and serve them with green cucumber and raw onion slices.
Red Chicken Pakora:
500 grams boneless chicken cut into small pieces, 3 table spoons unsweetened curd, dry fenugreek leaves, turmeric powder, red chili powder, onion, garlic, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, green cardamom, black cardamom, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, mace, aniseed, sugar, salt, Bengal gram powder and mustard oil.
Marinate the chicken pieces with salt, curd, turmeric powder and red chili powder in a container for – hours and keep them outside of your refrigerator. Then prepare the spice. Roast I teaspoon cumin seed, 1 teaspoon coriander seed, 2 green cardamoms, 1 black cardamom, 2- cloves, ½ inch cinnamon, ½ nutmeg and a pinch of mace. Grind them to fine powderr. Grind 1 onion and 2 cloves of garlic to paste. Now add this onion garlic paste, spice powder and dry fenugreek powder on chicken. Mix everything properly. Then sprinkle Bengal gram powder on chicken in ample amount so that each chicken piece gets the thick coating.
In a container pour ample amount of mustard oil and keep it on a high flame to make the oil hot enough. Check the temperature of the oil. Now bring the flame of the oven down and add chicken pieces in the hot oil. Be sure that they get sunk in the oil totally. Fry them on medium flame till they turn golden brown. Serve them hot with freshly cut salad.
Chicken Cabbage Pakora:
Boneless chicken – 250 grams, cabbage 100 grams, onion- 2, green chili-2, coriander leaves- 2 strings, corn flour, salt, egg-1, black pepper powder, olive oil and butter oil.
Shred chicken, chop cabbage, onion, green chili and coriander leaves. Add them in a container. Add whisked egg, salt and corn flour in it. Mix properly.
In a pan mix olive oil and butter oil in equal amount. Heat the oil and fry small pakoras with the mixture. Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper powders on pakoras before serving.
