Ouch!!! Your toddler has wet the bed again. Those of us who have pets or toddlers regularly face the problem of urine stains and smell on carpets, bed covers and mattresses. Even if you get the stains out, the smell will still remain. The problem gets worse if there are untrained pets in the house. Unfortunately, it is just not possible to remove and clean carpets as and when you wish. Wondering if there is an easy solution to this problem? Yes. There is a very easy way to get the stains and smells out of carpets, mattresses and the like.
Just Follow The Below Steps And You Can Make Them Smell Fresh In A Jiffy:
You will need 300 ml of hydrogen peroxide, 3 tablespoons of baking soda and a little liquid dish detergent for making this effective cleaner. These are ingredients you can find quite easily and yes, they are very cheap. Using this cleaner will definitely be easy on your pocket, right?
Hydrogen peroxide is non-toxic, effective, eliminates bacteria and is way cheaper than commercial cleaners. Hydrogen peroxide can be used around the house for cleaning purposes and is also used to treat and disinfect wounds. Baking soda eliminates stains and is also an effective deodorant. It neutralises foul smell and makes surfaces smell fresh and look clean. For tough stains, it is necessary to make use of liquid detergent for that extra edge. Just a drop or two of liquid detergent should be sufficient.
Mix All The Ingredients:
Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients together. There might be some foaming due to the baking soda. Wait until the foaming settles down and then take the cleaning solution a spray bottle.
Spray The Solution:
Spray the solution liberally over the affected area. That’s it. Now, just open all the doors and windows for ventilation. You will have to let the solution remain on the area for about an hour or so for effective cleaning. The ingredients in the cleaning solution should effectively remove the stains and foul smell by that time.
Clean The Area:
After one hour, you may wipe clean the surface with a slightly damp cloth. That’s it you are done. You have done the impossible and restored your carpets and mattresses to their former glory.
