Add a few drops of dish soap and baking soda to the burnt dish and fill it up with some water. Place the dish on the stove and allow it to simmer. Once the water simmers, pour it down and scrub the dish using the brush. Now, add some baking soda and start scrubbing again using the sponge. It might take some time to get all the grime off the dish.
Vinegar And Baking Soda Method:
This method is suitable for stainless steel dishes. You will need 1 cup of vinegar, 2 tablespoons of baking soda and a sponge is needed for this method. Take the burnt dish and add vinegar to it. Add some water, place the dish on the stove and allow it to simmer. Now, remove the dish from heat and add the baking soda. Empty the dish and start scrubbing. You can also add some baking soda to the dish while scrubbing. Baking soda acts as an abrasive and scrubs away the grime quite easily. If there are some really tough marks that just refuse to come off, you can make a paste using baking soda and water and apply it on the marks. Leave the paste on for a while and then scrub it off.

This method is suitable for stainless steel dishes. Fill the dish with water and add about a quarter cup of baking soda to it. Place the dish on the stove and allow it to simmer for about 15 minutes. Turn off the stove and let it sit for half an hour. Now, empty the dish and wash as usual.
Alka-Seltzer Method:
This method is also suitable for stainless steel dishes. You will need hot water and Alka-Seltzer tablets for this method. Fill the burnt dish with hot water and add a few Alka-Seltzer tablets to it. Let it sit for about an hour. Now, empty the pan and clean as usual.
