You can also add some baking soda to the dish while scrubbing. Baking soda acts as an abrasive and scrubs away the grime quite easily. If there are some really tough marks that just refuse to come off, you can make a paste using baking soda and water and apply it on the marks. Leave the paste on for a while and then scrub it off.
