All of us regularly use body spray. Why not? Given that it keeps us smelling fresh all day long. Most of us use it multiple times in a day for staying fresh. Good. But, have you ever tried reading the ingredients present in your body spray? Try reading and you will know will be shocked with the number of chemicals you subject your body to. Some people are also allergic to the “fragrance” and start sneezing when they use their body spray. And some people have skin allergies due to body spray. Rather than going for something that is obviously not working for you, why don’t you try your hand at making a body spray yourself? It is quite easy to make one and takes very less time.
You will need water or vodka, lavender essential oil and lime essential oil. You can also use equal parts vodka and water. Since the essential oils don’t mix with water, vodka is used to distribute it. You can use plain water, plain vodka or a mix of both.
Mix All The Ingredients:
Take 2 tablespoons of vodka or water and add about 3 drops of lavender essential oil and 8 drops of lime essential oil to it. Take the solution in a spray bottle and use it instead of your regular body spray.
Using Only Water:
If you do not have vodka, you can use plain water for making this body spray. The problem is that the essential oils do not mix with water and stay separated. In this case, shake the bottle well before each use in order to distribute the essential oils.
Use this body spray only on areas that are not directly exposed to the sun. This is because lime essential oil reacts to sunlight and could cause damage to the skin. You can use this body spray over your clothing or unexposed areas of the skin.
Using 1 tablespoon each of Vodka and water will also work for making this body spray. You can fill up fancy spray bottles with this body spray and gift them to your near and dear ones. Just remember to add a tag with the recipe so that they can make one for themselves.
