Flowers are the beautiful creation of nature. Rose is considered to be the king of flowers and it adds freshness and fragrance to one’s life. Rose can be used for anything from visiting patients to expressing love and friendship.
Below Are Some Techniques For Growing Rose In Your Garden:-
Cutting From Plants
Choose a good quality cutting from a rose plant that is well watered. Ideally use semi-hardwood cutting, i.e. a cutting which is neither very fresh as it may rot in sometime nor too old as it will delay the growing process. Carefully remove the leaves that fall off your clipping as it rots the cutting, put it in a container having a proper drainage system. Add soil and put the sapling in a shady place. Water it from time to time to see a rose plant with beautiful roses.
Get the whole stem with heel wood that is where the stem meets the main cane. This part of the stem has more buds and roots form here more reliably. Otherwise take a stem with 5-6 leaflets and cut the stem at 45 degree angle between the top of the stem segment where the last leaflet was attached. Place this stem in a container for the plant to grow and blossom.
Rooting hormone helps in good growth of the plant. Dip the stem into a rooting hormone and shake off the excess hormone as plant require very less of these. Simply plant the stem in the soil and water it regularly. This is a easy process as you need not provide extra care to the plant.
Cutting The Bark
Slightly cut the bark of the stem on three sides. Do not cut deeply into the pith of the stem. Remove the dried flowers off the stem and shorten the leaflets. Some leaves are helpful in providing food for the developing roots.
Create a hole in the soil about 2 inches deep and wider than the rose plant stem. Place at least two buds under the soil. Firm up the soil around the cutting a bit and water. Place soda bottle dome on the top and water the plant regularly to bloom rose flower.
