Oatmeal has anti inflammatory properties that can calm irritable skin caused by eczema. It has compounds that help in cleansing the skin and removing dead skin cells. It also protects fron the harmful effects of the sun. Honey has anti bacterial and anti fungal properties. Yogurt is a natural lightening agent. Yogurt and honey both make the skin soft and moisturized.
Homemade DIY Oatmeal Mask For Eczema:
Plain oatmeal – 1/2 cup
Hot water – 1/2 cup
Honey – 1 tbsp ( or aloe vera gel or juice )
Plain yogurt – 2 tbsp
How To Prepare:
Take oatmeal in a bowl now add hot water to it and let it sit for around 5 minutes. Now add honey and then yogurt to it. Mix this very well and let it cool down until its warm. Now the oatmeal mask is ready to apply.
You can even add aloe vera in place of honey if you like. Aloe vera is also very beneficial for the skin.
How To Use:
Apply generously wherever eczema is present. Let it sit for around half an hour. Now remove it using a soft cloth damp in luke warm water. After the mask is removed completely, wash off face with lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft towel or tissue. Use this mask daily once to avoid dry skin and itching due to eczema.
