Pickles are all time favorite of all the people of all the ages and it brings water in every body’s mouth. Pickles are mainly home made which has a great taste. Pickles may be sweet, sour or it may taste hot. Today we are going to prepare pickle with Jalapeno. It is very popular veggie around the globe. Today we are preparing the pickle with a little twist which makes the pickle so delicious. This pickle needs simple ingredients which is easily available in your local market.
Here Are Way To Prepare Delicious Homemade Pickled Jalapenos
Jalapeno 1 kg, Lemon 12, Carom seeds 25 gm, Coriander seeds 25 gm, Cumin seeds 25 gm, Mustard seeds 100 gm, Garlic ½ cup (chopped), Red chili powder 1 table spoon, Black pepper powder 1 table spoon, Turmeric powder 1 table spoon, Mustard oil 1 ½ cup, Black salt to taste.
First clean the jalapenos with water and then wipe them with clothes to remove the water. Then slit them slightly with a sharp knife and keep them aside in a bowl. Now take an oak and heat it in flame. Dry roast Carom seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and mustard seeds in it. Do not put all the mustard seeds in it, put it in equal amount with the other spices i.e 25 gm. Now make it cool and then grind it in a fine powder. Now take 2 table spoon of this powder and pour it in the bowl in which jalapenos are kept. Now cut each lemon in four equal pieces and then put them in to the same bowl. Add turmeric powder and salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients well.
Now keep the whole thing under the sun for 3-4 days to make it seasoned. Now take the remaining mustard seeds and grind it to make smooth paste. Take another big oak and heat the mustard oil in medium heat. Now add the chopped garlic in it and sauté it. Add the season mixture of jalapeno in it and then add the fine paste made with mustard seeds. Mix the whole thing with a wooden spatula. Add black pepper powder and red chili powder. Add salt to taste and stir it. Cook it for 8-10 minutes on medium heat and then remove from flame. Set it aside to cool and then store it in a sterilized jar. Your pickled jalapenos are ready to use.
